Equality and diversity are key issues in many organisations. Our practice has these principles:
- We place the equality and diversity issues the organisation needs to address in the context of organisational goals, and integrate them with other current issues in the organisation.
- Our programmes are designed for the organisation and people we are working with. We take into account customer requirements, but also (amongst other things) the culture of the organisation, their experience of the issues, and the backgrounds of the individuals with whom we are working.
- We believe that diversity and equality in organisations is brought about not only by implementing policies and procedures, but by approaches that incorporate organisational and personal development. We work with organisations to develop a culture that promotes equality and diversity, and with individuals to develop their management style.
Our interventions on equality and diversity range from introducing the legislative framework and using case studies to explore good practice, to awareness raising, to developing diversity further by integrating it with personal and organisational development and enabling organisations and individuals to see diversity as a positive asset rather than a difficulty. Within this we encompass all differences, including age, sexual orientation as well as ways of working and thinking, interpersonal styles and so on.
