We cover: Skills and abilities of good leaders; motivating self and others; developing teams and organisations; External relationships and representing the organisation; negotiating and influencing; resolving conflict; listening, questioning and confronting skills; working with difference; effective delegation.
Developing Teams and Facilitation Skills
Building a team around you is crucial. This part of the programme includes:
Relationship and consultancy skills; learning styles; boundary management; facilitation as a leadership approach; building teams; group dynamics, group and roles; ethics and values.
Developing People and Coaching Skills
Developing people is a key part of leadership, and we will improve your skills in; communication; giving and receiving feedback; goal setting; performance management; listening and questioning; influencing; and dealing with difficult people.
Developing Yourself
We aim to empower you by developing your awareness, understanding and acceptance of yourself and others in order to realise your full potential both personally and professionally. We will cover: Self-awareness and self management; setting your own goals and knowing your own values; work-life balance; Transactional Analysis and Neuro Linguistic Programming.
Developing Skills
During the programme we will do intensive work on: communication skills development. This will enable you to become more flexible in how you approach people. It will add more tools to your toolbox, and enable you to use a variety of approaches to influence, negotiate, communicate and inspire. We won't take away what you do well now, but we will add to it!
Developing Equality and diversity
We will explore the theories behind equality and diversity, how it manifests in organisations, this group and for you. We will discuss links to values, beliefs and behaviour and what possible actions are available to ensure the principles are not just talked about but how you can make them manifest in your organisations.
